FIRST HARVEST
CEREMONIAL GRADE
RICH IN L-THEANINE
Rich umami, naturally sweet.
Our Okumidori Ceremonial Grade is made from first-harvest leaves grown in Yame, shaded longer than most and stone-ground within weeks of picking. In the bowl it’s a vivid, deep green, with a fresh, gently nutty aroma.
Expect rich umami and a lingering natural sweetness, carried on a smooth, creamy texture. The finish is long and clean. Our highest ceremonial grade, best whisked and enjoyed on its own.

OUR SINGLE CULTIVAR MATCHA

TASTE THE DIFFERENCE
Better matcha starts at the source. We work directly with farmers in Japan, selecting first-harvest leaves and exceptional cultivars for their quality, taste and colour. Fewer middlemen means greater traceability and fresher matcha — from farm to whisk.
Every matcha we source is chosen for its vibrant colour, smooth flavour and naturally rich umami, so you can taste the quality in every cup.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Okumidori is a rare variety of tea leaf, loved for its soft green colour and natural sweetness. Most matcha blends several varieties together. This is made from Okumidori alone, from Yame, so you taste the character of the leaf itself.
Both are first-harvest and ceremonial grade. This one is made from a single variety, Okumidori, which gives it a softer, sweeter, more rounded taste. It’s one of the smoothest matchas we offer, lovely enjoyed on its own.
Yes. Its natural sweetness comes through beautifully with milk, so you need little or no sweetener. It’s just as delicious whisked simply with water.
Around 70mg per 2g serving, less than a coffee. It’s released slowly alongside L-theanine, for calm, focused energy without the crash.
Smooth and mellow, with a rounded natural sweetness, rich umami and no bitterness. One of the easiest matchas to enjoy, whether you’re new to it or not.
It’s made from a single variety of leaf, Okumidori and grown in smaller batches on one farm. That takes more care and costs more to produce, which is reflected in the price. What you get is a smoother, sweeter, more distinctive matcha.
Unopened, several months somewhere cool and dark or in the fridge. Once opened, we’d say within 30 days, as matcha is at its best fresh.
