Why buy the refill instead of the tin?
Same matcha, less packaging, lower price. If you already have a Matcha Union tin, the refill is the smarter reorder. Just pour it in and you're set.
Is it the same matcha as the tins?
Exactly the same. Same origin, same quality, same freshness. The only difference is the packaging.
How much do I save?
The refill is typically 15–20% less per gram than the tinned version. Even more if you subscribe.
Which refill should I choose?
Ceremonial for traditional whisking and premium lattes. Premium for everyday lattes. Vanilla, Peach, Chocolate, and Strawberry for something different. Not sure? Take the quiz.
How much caffeine is in one serving?
½ teaspoon (1g) contains around 35mg. 1 teaspoon (2g) around 70mg. A cup of coffee has roughly 95mg, but matcha releases it slowly for calm, steady energy.
How long does it last?
Check the expiry date on the pouch. Once opened, use within one month. Transfer to your tin or an airtight container to keep it fresh.
