MU: How did you become interested in fashion?
SC: I am passionate about fashion since a young age. I was always attracted to the transformation part and being able to be whoever I wanted to be.
MU: When are you the most inspired and creative?
SC: I am the most inspired and creative at night, in Paris, or on a train.
MU: Fashion is something that brings women confidence. As a woman, what does confidence look like to you?
SC: Fake confidence is aggressive and loud. Real confidence doesn't fight. It dances. It is smooth and light. We have all struggled with self-confidence, but the real question to ask yourself is if your self-doubt comes from other people's actual judgement or the judgement you have on yourself that you see through other people's eyes.
MU: What does your typical workday look like?
SC: I wake up at 7:30 am and order myself a coffee. I go through my emails, browse Instagram, take a shower, and go to the office. I work out at around 11 am, have lunch at noon, and then go back to work.
MU: What are your wellness rituals or tips to make your busy days productive and meaningful?
SC: I work out and try to deal with my obstacles once at a time.
MU: In your career journey, what is the biggest learning experience you have had?
SC: After having my first fashion show, I realised that fashion people's acknowledgement of my work meant little to me. What was important was my consumer's opinions.
MU: What are the three clothing items you can't live without?
SC: 1. My Zara "Marine" jeans
2. My Air Force 1
3. My James Pierce white T-shirt
MU: What does fashion mean to you?
SC: Not walking naked out of the house.
MU: Is there any advice you would like to give to women who want to pursue a career in fashion?
SC: Don't do it if you are better at something else.
MU: Last but not least, what is your favourite way to enjoy Matcha Union?
SC: My favourite way to enjoy Matcha Union is in a cookie!
