Papaya Matcha Latte

Like sipping a tropical morning — this Papaya Matcha Latte layers mellow, sun-ripened papaya with creamy milk and vibrant matcha for a calming, fruity twist on your favorite green drink. Think: soft papaya skies, earthy green swirls, and a whole lot of vacation energy in one glass.


🌴 You’ll Need:

  • Fresh papaya (about ¼ cup, mashed)
  • Milk of choice (oat, almond, coconut, or dairy)
  • 1 tsp premium matcha powder @matchaunion
  • 50–60 ml warm water (75–80°C / 170°F)
  • A spoonful of fruit jam (apricot, mango, or berry works great)
  • Ice cubes

🌺 Method:

1️⃣ Rim your glass
Use a spoon to gently swipe a bit of fruity jam around the inside rim for an aesthetic (and tasty) touch.

2️⃣ Mash your papaya
Scoop fresh papaya and mash until smooth. Layer this at the bottom of your glass.

3️⃣ Add ice + milk
Drop in a handful of ice cubes, then pour in your milk of choice, leaving room at the top.

4️⃣ Whisk your matcha
In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with warm water until frothy and smooth.

5️⃣ Pour & swirl
Gently pour the whisked matcha over the milk for a beautiful layered effect.
Stir softly to swirl the colors and flavors together.


🥄 Optional Garnish:

  • A slice of fresh papaya on the rim
  • A sprinkle of chia seeds or dried coconut
  • A mint sprig for a refreshing finish
