Matcha Cake Pops

Matcha Cake Pops

There’s something magical about combining soft, creamy matcha with a bite-sized treat.
These Matcha Cake Pops are fluffy, fun, and dipped in silky white matcha chocolate — a tiny moment of calm you can hold in your hand.

🍵 You’ll Need:

For the cake mixture:

For the coating:

  • 120 g white chocolate
  • 1 tsp matcha powder (optional, for the coating)
  • Sprinkles, pearls, or matcha dust for decoration (optional)

✨ Method:

1️⃣ Make the cake base
In a bowl, mix the cake pop mix, matcha powder, egg, and softened butter into a smooth batter.

2️⃣ Bake
Pour into a greased baking dish and bake at 180°C (350°F) for ~30 minutes. Let it cool completely.

3️⃣ Crumble & shape
Crumble the cake into fine crumbs. Add the cream cheese and mix until a smooth, moldable dough forms. Roll into small balls.

4️⃣ Chill
Refrigerate the cake balls for 30 minutes to help them firm up.

5️⃣ Melt & dip
Melt the white chocolate. Stir in 1 tsp matcha powder if desired. Pour into a tall glass for easy dipping.

6️⃣ Assemble cake pops
Dip the end of each cake pop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert into each chilled ball (this helps them stay in place).

7️⃣ Dip & decorate
Dip each cake pop into the matcha white chocolate, tap off excess, and decorate with sprinkles or pearls.

8️⃣ Let set & enjoy
Place on a parchment-lined tray or cake pop stand and let set completely before serving.

🧁 Optional Tips:

Add a dash of vanilla or lemon zest to the batter for extra brightness

Use coconut cream cheese for a dairy-free option

Gift wrap them for a matcha-themed treat bag or party favor

Soft, creamy, and coated in matcha magic — these cake pops are your new favorite tea-time sweet. 🍵✨
