Matcha Croissant Pudding

Soft, custardy layers with buttery croissants and a gentle matcha twist — this viral bake, but greener and cozier.
🌿 You’ll Need:
- 3 croissants
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla paste
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 120 ml milk
- 150 ml heavy cream
- 1 tsp premium matcha powder @matchaunion
Optional Topping:
- Brown sugar
- Dark chocolate chunks
✨ Method:
1️⃣ Make the custard
Whisk together egg, sugar, vanilla paste, and cinnamon until smooth.
2️⃣ Add the liquids
Pour in milk, heavy cream, and matcha powder. Mix until fully combined and silky.
3️⃣ Layer the croissants
Cut croissants into strips and place half into a baking dish. Pour over half of the matcha custard.
4️⃣ Repeat the layers
Add the remaining croissants on top and pour over the rest of the custard.
5️⃣ Finish
Sprinkle with brown sugar and add dark chocolate chunks if using.
6️⃣ Bake
Bake at 170°C (340°F) for about 30 minutes, until golden and set.
7️⃣ Cool slightly & enjoy
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving — warm, soft, and perfectly cozy.
